As we approach the seventh anniversary of the catastrophic events of September 11th, 2001, America looks back and remembers, but also looks ahead. While that day will never be forgotten, the construction of the Freedom Tower signifies the enduring spirit of freedom that America embodies now, embodied seven years ago, and will embody forever. Standing 1,776 feet tall in honor of the year the Declaration of Independence was signed, the Freedom Tower is expected to be complete by 2012.

Watch the video and see what the new tower will look like.

  • Waterbender90z The greatest Tribute for the WTC site is to see the Newly Twin Towers rise up again and pay its respects to the Original Twin Towers! Just like we are paying our respects to the 3000 people who'd died at that site! I'm not a New Yorker as well, I'm a New Jerseyian! And I have good sense that rebuilding the Twin towers would've made much of an improvement than what is being improved today at that site! WTC doesn't need 4 towers, all it needs is just 2!

  • Yah.. Now it's billions of dollors having to get that site completed! Not to mention it wouldn't take them too damn long to have the Twin Towers Rebuilt!

  • @bendix633 Well since youtube wants to be lame and not let me post links on the comment section, I'll be glad to send you it in a message.

  • @Waterbender90z Show me the link where it says 105 stories......

  • @bendix633 HEY CHECK AGAIN! 105 Stories BRO. I'm not a New Yorker dude, but I plan to live there very soon. I love the Freedom Tower and if you have a problem with it, then shove off. I'm a punk? LOL. Please, because I love this tower with many other people? Hahaha. Believe me, not everyone agrees with the Twin Towers 2.

  • @Waterbender90z And people wouldn't be scared of the fear tower? Give me a break.....lol, it's not going to be 105 stories IT'S 82 FLOORS BRO . This proves that you're just an ignorant punk with a simple mind. The fear tower can always be demolished, have u ever thought of that? ....you have obviously never been in the twin towers before and realize how beloved those buldings were to us New Yorkers....try looking at from a different view.....a new yorkers point of view ok buddy?

  • @bendix633 Actually, it would scare people if you think about it, which seems your brain can't do. This argument is pointless, simply because the Freedom Tower is being built. Freedom Tower will be the SAME height as the twins, with 105 Stories. The spire is just raising it an extra 408 ft. Get over it.

  • @Waterbender90z don't give me garbage that seeing the twin towers will "scare people". Many peolple that I have spoken with that used to work there would still go back there and work. New twin towers will also be alot the safer than the original ones. New towers that are a lot stronger with wider windows and maybe even 5 stories taller. The freedom tower won't be even as tall which is pretty pathetic. It would only be taller because of the spire. And by the way, it will be 82 floors not 90.

  • @bendix633 And it's clearly obvious that you can't move on from the past. Rebuilding the twins would scare people, and be reminded of that day in horrible ways. Have you not looked at the memorial of the FT? It's a peaceful surrounding which I agree on. And guess what? ONLY 5 more months until it's completion and opening. Freedom Tower by that time will be 90 stories. The FT also has A LOT of safety inside it, the same as your new twin towers. Example, Wider stairs, reinforced steel, etc.

  • @TheGodak Finally, someone who agrees with me. TheGorak, you are a good man
