@Sabres21Buffalo Thanks for the comment. This was end of September 2011. The scanner feed is near the rack rail car they run up from the cafe/kiosk to the curve. It's rigged up to loudspeakers, so you can hear it all over the park. BYO scanner is better for getting clearer train symbols.
Just ignore the tourists who pester the railfans asking "when the next train is coming as there hasn't been one through in the past 10 minutes!!"
