    Co2 is unusable at night so if you can get your co2 system to shut off at night you will save a lot of co2. Also remember that the more surface agitation you have the more the co2 will excape from the water.

    ( power head with bubbler)

    Co2 durring the day and definatly air at night because of the size fish you have.

    Keep a close eye on your ph. The more co2 you add, you'll see your ph drop. Check out Chuck's planted aquarium pages for lots of great information.
