  • @squee222 that "ring road" stops at the manning freeway and if you want to get to the east side of the henday you have to use... you guessed it, the yellowhead.

once the henday is finished, and actually functions as a true ring road, then perhaps it will alleviate some of the congestion on the yellowhead.

Until that time, the Yellowhead is still one of the most congested and accident prone thoroughfares in the city and I will continue to avoid it like the plague. (50th st to 156 st is brutal)

  • @econdrone

You pay for it than. I want no part of buying overpasses for that road. I'll just drive down 137ave when it gets congested. The overpass on calgary trail cost 250 million, if I am not mistaken, and required considerable land acquisition. Doing the same thing to the many intersections on the yellowhead would be a nightmare, and is unecesary, considering that there are alternative routes, and we have a ring road for through traffic.

  • Yellowhead should have overpasses not traffic lights. I live there and can tell you that traffic sucks really bad

  • @temporos I bet the person is from Calgary

  • Why would someone dislike this video? O_o It's informative, well-produced, and entertaining.
