how do you get counter steer on a tt-01 Type E
-
hey nice, i have exactly the same counter setup now. i will try 15/39 at front so i will get 148% overdrive. with this setup in the video you have only 127%. but it makes fun to cause you never have to steer in the curve, you know what i mean?! only neutral or counter, nice!

did you only change the two pulleys to 18 center and 32 rear? what's the gear ratio of your ta 05?

@monsterGAUZ Yeah, in this video I'm using an 18/32 pulley combo. Gear ratio is 5.91 (23t motor).

Looks good man. What pulleys?

Thanks.
The pulleys are: 18t center (Tamiya #53989) and 32t rear (Tamiya #50877).
I added a link to the info box where you can see pictures of the setup.

Nice setup man.
This is similar to the track I've been down.
I found as you gear up the rear, you can hold more counter angle, but it get's more unstable when switching.
From about 1.5 you can start holding counter dough-nuts.
I reckon about 1.6-1.7 is good for full counter.
And then around 2, it get's pretty impossible to switch :(

Yeah, it definitely takes some time to get comfortable with a countersteer setup. Being able to anticipate how quickly it changes direction is key. I've been playing around with this setup for a while now, and I'm still learning new ways to drive it.
