  • I've only just come across this - thank you so much for posting! TMD is one of my all time favourite films & I would desperately love to have a copy of this documentary which I'm assuming went out on Channel 4 after Anthony Minghella's death last year? Is there any chance you could get in touch with me to let me know if I can get hold of a copy of it or download it somewhere? I will have to admit to being an obsessive Alan Rickman fan & can't believe I didn't see this on TV!! :-)

  • It was a documentary on the BBC as part of the imagine series. It was an hour long special. This is all the parts with Alan Rickman in it. It was on the BBC iplayer but I don't know whether it is still on there.

  • Having gone through first hand what Nina went through in this movie - IMO this is the BEST movie that deals with sudden unexpected death, especially of a young lover. To me, Juliet Stevenson was so perfect conveying the raw emotions, it was like she had experience with it first hand. I don't know if she did, but she must have researched it, b/c she's so accurate in her portrayal, it's chilling. TY for posting this! :_) Five Stars and straight to faves.

  • The acting is incredible in this film.

  • Thank you so much for posting it... anthony minghella was and will always be one of the best directors ever !

Truly Madly Deeply was his first and best work I think so and you always remember beack on the first movie.

Thank you for all that special moments,Anthony Minghella!!!

  • This is one of my favourite films and I only saw it for the first time about Christmas!

I love love love love love it !!!

  • I wish someone has posted the film itself I have been looking on and off and have given up I will just have to find a dvd copy.

  • I think on the whole I have seen it 10 times never get tired of it

  • This film never fails to make me weep and be happy all in one film. I love both Alan and Juliet both amazing actors and very excellent readers. Juliet does a lot of reading for audiobooks I just wish Alan would as well. I have seen all the films he has been in over the years.

    Thanks Kat for this!!

  • Thanks so much for coming back to me - I've checked the BBC iplayer but, as I suspected, they only keep stuff for a week or so & I'm guessing this was on 9 months ago now. Looks like AR wasn't on it much though - but, hey, it would still be an interesting DVD to keep alongside the film DVD (sad AR fan or what?!!)

  • This probably one of my most favorite films of all time. It is so beautiful and romantic and I cannot help but cry everytime I watch it. Juliet Stevenson is such a realistic and inspirational actress, while Alan Rickman is a very beautiful man himself with a lot of talent. It's just a wonderful movie... I find either people love it or they hate it. And I absolutely love it.
