PM wants CDF to replace harambees

Prime minister Raila Odinga is proposing that the Constituency Development Fund should be used to construct schools instead of burdening parents with harambees. The premier spoke during a tour of Olympic Primary School and Karen C Secondary School in his Langata constituency.

Harambees are bad. They promote corruption even among Kenyans in the west including USA. Good point by the right honorable Prime minister.

It's impossible to do without harambees sometimes. Even here in the diaspora when our fellow Kenyans have huge financial burdens like those of transporting the body of a deceased relative back to Kenya, we do harambees. We also help raise legal fees for "illegal immigrants" who're put in jail. Raila also owns a Hummer that was donated by Kenyans in the diaspora through harambee. The list goes on. Forced harambees should be the problem here.
