  • @irishblood951 Shawn played this tune 3 times live that i know of (i've posted videos of all 3 versions)... each time he would play it a little different (as Shawn would with pretty much ANY tune)... the version he played in Paris is by far my fave version.... so check out that version if you like this. :-)

    STUNNED AND MOVED

  • i'm a guitar player that delights in listening to and playing songs by all the greats. until recently, i had never heard of this guy... but after hearing a few of his songs, i know for sure that this guy has to be one of the guitar's greatest players ever. he had a killer tone, impeccable chops in a fusion, blues, and a variety of other styles, and i highly doubt there are players out there that could match his tasteful and devil fast licks. there will never be another like shawn lane. rip.

  • God i miss him...

  • It just takes you away! Like out of body.

  • @ScottMcquownMemphis "A prophet is not without honor, except in his hometown and among his relatives and in his own household" - - Mark 6:4

  • There are a multitude of extraordinary talents associated with the electric guitar in a startling array of genres and styles...historically + currently.

    Then there's Shawn Lane....

  • Every time I hear Shawn Lane play I feel reverence, have to pick up my guitar and play.

  • Playing for 8 people?

  • It's just so sad that most of his home town of Memphis had no clue that a genius was among them during his lifetime; or even that his genius continues through his memory which is shared by the rest of us.

  • Extremely, extreme wonderfully!!!

  • It's just so sad to think that this guy passed away so early, almost every video of him brings tears to eyes ...damn, what inspiration!

  • RIP. Greatest guitarist ever, and not to mention a extremely great guy. This is fantastic music
