Sand dune ride. Blown motor at end

The blown motor part is at 1:55
Riding at Gordons Well, Californa. 12/30/10 It was just my warm up ride but ended up being my last ride of the day. It broke from my carb's fuel screw being turned to lean, jetted too lean, no paddle tire ( i was literally gonna put one on right after this ride)

The sand was really packed that week because it was raining everyday.

@mongoosebootrrider Its aluminium so it melts at a relatively low temperature for metals. And the whole thing didn't melt, just the excessive friction caused one side of the piston's surface to melt. Google "2 stroke piston diagnosis" if you want to see more about it.

did you ever figure out how it did that were you running to lean? not enough coolent? poor coolent system? bikes dont just melt down for no reason. i have a 2004 kx 250 and just was wundering how this happened.
