I got the Samsung Galaxy S 2 phone today and wanted to show everyone the responsiveness of it. Apple fanboys kept complaining about android freezing/lagging but wanted to show that Samsung has overcome that problem with flying colors.

The GPS lock is also fast now, battery indicator is good. With 25 Mbps connection with a wireless G 2.4 Ghz band i was able to get 11+ Mbps download and upload. Next i will be trying the speed on the 5 Ghz wireless N.
Also tested the connection speed on AT&T - got 3.3 Mbps download and 1.4 Mbps upload - same has what i got with samsung galaxy s 1. It is so clear that AT&T are marketing the 3.5 G as 4G and the speeds won't improve till the end of this year.

  • Hey purehatred, can you respond to me, does this phone detect 5 ghz networks? My network is 5 ghz and none of my phones support it which is a real PITA.

  • @RenegadeFury

Yup, This phone detects my 5Ghz network..I am using the dual Band router WRT610N and G is set with 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz for N and this phone detects 5Ghz network too :)

  • @RenegadeFury
