im continually amazed at your high voltage vidoes!
-
Now stick your hand in it!!
-
it looks like two flames thumb wrestling.
-
how old of a tv can you find ac flybacks?
-
How did you make that :o
-
I never knew that flyback transformers could work in series.
-
theres only one problem with it, the leads are bent way to far apart. get some longer wire and go higher, and increase the gap little by little until it works right, but dont do it when its on lol

awesome! could you give us the schematic?

@a380rockerfan this was a half-bridge of IGBTs operating from 320V dc driven from the IR2153 chip. I don't recommend that chip as there are stability issues with it, especailly at higher powers and can result in blown switching transistors.

did you wind those flybacks yourself?they must be low voltage to produce that massive of an amount of current....i mean damn

I did not wind them, these are coils from old tube TVs. I guess ~1000turns on one and they are in series. The voltage is not quite low, it will start an arc at over 3cm (30+ kV)
