@TheDesmoPilot I disagree with your comment entirely and to think that Ben Spies is only the rider he is today because of Mat is rather silly. I am sure he learned things from him but then that's applicable to all of us. It's what we do with our new found knowledge that divides the better riders from the rest. Clearly Ben has moved on as he has achieved what Mat could not. I always wanted Mat to move to WSBK to see how good he was at world level not domestic.

@mansonp : When mladin was in his 20's he was in motogp, he got his handed to him real bad ,never had the balls to go back,he knew he couldn't win there no matter how old he was.

Ben is not more. He may be more now because Mat has retired and lost the love. (thanks DMG). The way Ben rides and his attitude to anniahlate his opponents is all learned from 5 years of being Mats teammate. Of course you never seen him 1st hand and neither have I, but its a no-brainer that a guy between the ages 20-25 craves the attention and buddy buddy feeling from his teammate. And Mat just isnt that guy. He's there to destroy you and go home to his family.

NO! they will never be friends. They are complete opposites. Mat is a family guy who doesn't care if people like him or not. Ben is a partying young guy who needs that attention.

Hes beat Spies many many times. And most of the guys Mat has been kicking the ass of in AMA have been in WSBK and MotoGP and he mopped them up in AMA, so re think what you said.....

Ben is just as much if not more of a machine when it comes to racing than Mladin. I've never scene Ben act like he needs attention like you say. He wants to win races and championships and has proven to be quite capable of both.
