USAirways A330-200 Taxi and Takeoff from Charlotte (HD)

Recorded May 13, 2010. Went to the Charlotte airport to collect a family member and arrived early enough to go to the observation area for some filming. According to Flightaware.com, this was the daily flight to Frankfurt which was running two hours late. This flight is normally an A330-300. Given the delay and the aircraft swap, I would imagine that the -300 that was scheduled for this flight experienced some kind of mechanical problem. Don't know that for sure !
The A330-300 that you see briefly in the background was headed to Rome. It was the very first Charlotte-Rome flight.

I think CLT needs a longer runway. with the a340 and a330, i think i should be a little longer.

Im sure the pax were happy with the swap(unless they were bumped) IMHO, the A332 is much more comfortable.

An B767 and B757 have the same number tires as an A330. Some powerful rims.

sweet was there today and saw N283AY I must say i prefer the -300 I love the PW enigne spoolup, I saw all 5 of the CLT A330 flights although the PHL -200 did takeoff on 18L

i went to the airport sat. to see the a330-200 and it took off on the opposite runnway. good job
