SO you HAVE lived in uganda? aka not currently living there? the war is still going on, children are still taken from their homes and communities to live the lives of soldiers. Their childhood is stolen and so they grow up thinking its ok to rape women and then the women are broken and it is an unbroken cycle. Invisible children is an organization that is raising awareness for this cause. Why would you want to fight that?

How do you plan on rescuing children by "abducting" yourself? Rescue is such a neo-colonial term. It's so imperialistic. Invisible Children is not the cause. The cause is the war. The movies are outdated. As someone who has lived in northern Uganda, I can assure you that there is no war in n. UG. Fighting ceased in n. UG in 2006. Now, the war is in the DRC. Now n. UG needs to heal, and insensitive shirts and campaigns by IC only serves to open old wounds. Educate yourself on the the war. Not IC.
