"I was an economist for more than three years." Jesus fucking christ, he's a big fucking deal. It's not like there is a board you have to pass...you don't even need a degree to declare yourself one. What did he do as an "economist."

I have an economics degree that was useless for two years before I went back to school to get an engineering degree. Was I an economist for two years myself? Sounds like I was.... Or does one have to do data entry at the local bank to qualify? Hmmmm.

I don't dislike him...but how did he steal the show? He presented some idealism that was thoroughly dismantled by O'Rourke.

Thousands of campaign finance laws, and every so many years we create more...each supposed to stop the importance of money in politics. But they all fail, we all still complain about the opposition "buying" elections...and it makes the system so convoluted that now we have no idea what's happening when we see it.

This foolhardy attempt has actually worsened everything.
