More improvising on the Devi Ever US. Very cool pedal. Not a use-only-on-one-song pedal by any means, but not one I'd leave on all the time. It's awesome for solos (I'm not afraid to throw it on almost every solo!), intros...anything you want to make ragged and over the top rock. Or when you want some weird cut-offs and squelch-outs. (BTW, sounds great on keyboard too!!) Devi describes it as having a velcro decay or strange decay. It works with a gate, which rips open and eventually (depending on knob settings) rips closed again with an awesome velcro rip. A dying-fireworks-sizzle. Then silence until you play again. Sweet. Listen to get the idea. With the right knob turned down, the tone is thinner and the gate heavy--notes pop in and out quickly. With it cranked, the fuzz is thick and the gate at the point where you can sustain longer if you want. Also, running a boost in front of it defeats the gate a bit more--the pedal's all about interacting with the gate! A brilliant tool from Devi Ever. Check it out! --Tom Dalton FuzzHugger.com
my favorite Devi pedal. It's kind of like those toy electric guitars(the pushbutton ones) from the 80's after you take a bath with it. Really cool. Can also get Blue Cheer sounds out of this one.
