Thats very true I'm glad someone pointed that out. and it takes a fue years for the cooling to kick in, about 3 years after the maximum in sunspot number occurs.

solar cycle 24 has not started yet! its a prediction!
the sun spot cycle is at the lowest its been for quite a few cycles..
sunspot minimum's give cold weather, and maximum's hot weather, check out the solar cycle graphs for yourself to the years of weather extremes... BTW, The sun has never been so dimm, activity is the lowest ever recorded just now..

Max... the geological evidence shows that Earth is unique in the solar system because it heats UP when the sun gets COOLER & gets ice ages when the sun is HOTTER!
This is a direct effect due to LIFE.
I know it sounds counter-intuitive but this is precisely why Lovelock coined the phrase 'Gaia' because its a self-regulating system which seems to be acting FOR the benefit of LIFE.
If the sun is getting hotter then Earth SHOULD be getting cooler.. if the geological evidence is anything to go by.
