JAMES BOND'S GREATEST HITS - part 12 / 14 - WS HQ

This part is "For Your Eyes Only" (#5). The Bond-people wanted the then very successfull Blondie to sing 'their' (the Bond producers) song, but Blondie rejected because they had already recorded their own song. The next choice of Bill Conti (score composer) was the writer / singer team Barbara Streisand / Donna Summer but they were to busy. United Artists suggested then the young 'jewel' Sheena Easton. Also the main title designer Maurice Binder wanted to 'do it' with her. We hear later the story of "From Russia With Love" sung by Matt Monro (#4) - the only title song which wasn't played while the main titles. Instead it was heard the first time after 15 minutes of the movie (as background) and then again only while the end credits.

JAMES BOND'S GREATEST HITS is an entertaining documentary produced by NORTH ONE for the british TV station "Channel 4" in late 2006. It's a countdown of 22 Bond's Greatest Hits determinated by a public vote to find UK's favourite Bond song.

In this documentary You will of course see Bond film clips and music videos. But that's not all! You'll also find out about backstage battles and controversies behind the songs, the rejected Bond themes and rarely seen performances or videos of the artists.

In my opinion the BEST documentary about Bond songs!

For your Eyes Only is Moores BEST bond without a shadow of a doubt. He is annoying in Parts, yes, thats moore for you. But he is also Very Serious in this one too. Roger of course didn't want to Kick the Car off the Edge, being a pansey of course. The Song had a Drawn out Start & End Bar, with Delicate Pads which is pleasing to the ears by default. Not worth the high place. Thunderball is Better by FAR.

From Russia with Love is a Very Special Song. Munro's Voice penatrates the Soul. My 2nd Fave
