I did an inexpensive bourbon tasting to sort of go back and understand more about what bourbon there is out there. Cheap bourbon does not necessarily mean bad, but in this case, for the ones I chose it was disappointing (for me).

The 3 simple inexpensive bourbons I tasted here were:

Old Taylor
Old Grand-Dad 100
Old Fitzgerald 100

My reviews and thoughts are contained within and also on my blog here:

Cheers! Stick around for more! Many more bourbons to come!

  • What's your favorite inexpensive bourbon?

  • @Optimatorz probably the young Weller's which are stupid good value such Old Weller Antique and W.L. Weller Special Reserve. In a blind tasting I seemed to like Evan Williams and that's real inexpensive.

  • I work for Jim Beam (Frankfort Ky, not the Clermont Ky location). I love watching your reviews!!

  • @nitrox28 Thanks, glad you enjoyed them. I have a tasting ready to go of some 9+ years with my new Glencairn glasses, but I hate to crack open so many more bottles... I am trying to polish off a few before I do so... but some more bourbon tastings are DEFINITELY on the horizon you bet! Cheers! Stay tuned...
