this is so beautiful. it's very reminiscent of pink floyd due to the awesome use of atmosphere, hence the name. I love it. I was wondering if you had any advice on coming up with such melodic passages and solos. Especially that bit in the intro. I've been playing for almost 2 years. You can check out my song "metamorphic" if you want. Any advice would be awesome. Thanks again,
Mitch

Awesome. Sounds like the sound track to a very cool movie. Nice work!

do you use any speaker simulation for the guitar tracks?
bergweg 8 months ago
@bergweg Yep, I use the speaker simulation on the Boss GT-pro for all guitar tracks. It also has the ability to simulate how the (virtual) speakers are mic'd. e.g mic type/position

how do you get those sounds from your guitar, what amp you got and what settings do you use

I use a Boss GT-pro pretty much exclusively. If you want the settings send me a message and I'll send them to you.

Tried to figure out what key this was in. Closest I came to was G# major, but still out of key. Did you have a key in mind and then added notes in? Or is this some kind of technique for mixing keys?

I can't quite remember. From memory the beginning bit was based around E. I used to set up a loop of an E chord and solo over it. The beginning bit came from that. I think I spend some time playing the C sharp minor pentatonic, which fits well over E (C sharp being the relative minor of E major)
