Removing a toilet: how to drain the water should be an easy part of the project....right? You need to drain the water out of the toilet before removing the toilet. Do you know how to quickly remove most of the water from your toilet? It's pretty simple to remove the water from a toilet but are you prepared & set up to do this simply & quickly? Can't you just leave whatever water is left in the toilet, after flushing most of the water down the drain? What could it hurt? Watch "joe" as he has a few things to say, when it comes to draining the water out of a toilet before removing the toilet.

  • Another easy and fast way , using a shopvac. Apartment maintenance and contruction people use shopvac every day. Its a good video , for homeowners ,

  • @15901111 I could see how a shop vac would work fast too.....if you have one, that is. Thanks for the tip. Joe :0

  • "Just put it in the sink!!"

...now I need to wash my face!

  • @jn10i10 I thought I would make you laugh!...lol Thanks for sending me your comments. Joe :0

  • I wrote a comment about wearing gloves, and you wrote back. Thanks. I should say that your video is really good, and I feel bad making a negative comment about gloves being worn. But, it is a good reminder for people. In any case, its great that you put videos up like this to help people (like me.) I've only done it once before, and needed some reminders. So, good job, and thank you. (And, thanks for reading the comments, too.) Great job! A+

  • @thefallsatnewyork That is a good observation. I didn't have any wet/rubber gloves with me so I made sure I washed my hands good, when completed. I guess "joe" wasn't 100% prepared for his project, was he?! "Joe's" loss is your gain. :0

  • I think its great that you're trying to help others, but... shouldn't you and your friend be wearing GLOVES when putting your hands inside the use part of a toilet?

  • @plumberdrummer Sorry to hear you didn't learn anything from watching this video. I don't do plumbing much but when I do, this is how I drain the water out of a toilet. It works.Maybe you at least learned that I try to sincerely help DIY'ers with their projects. By the time you would've had your shop vac out, I would've been done, not to mention cleaning out the shop vac & putting it away when complete. Hopefully you will find something useful on my channel. Thanks for commenting. Joe :0

  • I didn't learn anything from your video about draining the water properly from a toilet.

I did learn that some people make things more difficult on themselves due to lack of knowledge or experience. I think it's great that you're trying to help people in your vids. but at least show them ways that won't be as messy or so unsanitary. Are you a licensed plumber or do you just make videos for fun?
