I always thought that during the Battle of Endor, the B-Wing Fighters were stuck making kamikaze attacks on Imperial Star Destroyers (they were depicted as such in the "manga" adaptation of ROTJ).

I have the morden version of the B-WING the one thats white and red, it was cool.

almost lol -- the same goes for the A-wing. For Return of the Jedi they Lucas wanted 2 new Jedi Fighters. They simply called them A and B. But behind the B-wing is a bit of a story because the 'father' of the B-wing was Billy George I believe. So the nickname was called Billy Wing. (from the book Sculpting a Galaxy)
