@metalmosh6 - It's a give and take as far as cultural definition. All of the cowboy myth is totally Mexican. The language has just been angloized. For example, Rodeo(Round Up), La Riata(Lariat), Caballero (Cowboy), Vaquero (Buckaroo), Juzgado (Hoosgow). As far as food is concerned Tacos(wraps), Tamales, enchiladas, refried beans in bacon grease, and on and on.

@KIKOGZZ I agree, all the German, Austrian etc... settlers in South Texas and North Mexico defined this culture. Everything from the Accordion to the beer, and tasty Mennonite cheese, usually mistaken as Mexican originated cheese.

Its awsome to see Tejano/Norteno taken back to its orgens. It this music has been in my family for over 100 years in Nuevo Leon, MX. And for those say it was only invented in Texas you need to go back and read history. European settled both in central Texas and in the Monterrey, NL area. Why do you think Monterrey is full of blond blue eye people and make some of the best beer in the world. There are great musicans on both side of the border. It is a fact that the mexicans sell more records .

Que buena banda caray. La escasa luz es perfecta para este videito. El bajista "cabeza e mango chupao" esta en su bacilon. Buena realmente.

The base playing here is unbelievable. I am both a jazz(tenor sax) and tex mex musican (diatonic three row acordion) and this guy throws a jazzy line down of the accordion. FRESH.
