  • Hey, awesome video! I'm new to upright bass and I'm planing on learning how to play. I'm left handed also, I was wondering if you need to buy a special left handed bass or just string it backwards?

  • @SirPsychoRHCP Thanks Sir, it's a real left-handed bass from Engelhardt (Chicago) cheap and pretty good sounding.String a bass backwards doesn't sound good.

  • @SirPsychoRHCP Im left handed also :D nice 2 know theres other upright left handed bass players out there!!! :)

  • @SirPsychoRHCP Alternatively, so you can get a decently priced one, just learn to play right handed, it might be more difficult, but it's definitely cheaper, and it means you can jam with other people on any bass.

  • Good seeing more lefty players. I didn't know they made uprights lefty. I must get one someday. Awesome playing :) Cheers.

  • ffsed

  • MARAVILLOSO!!!!!!! suena increible :D

  • Good slant on swing.

  • if you are a real lefty play that way you will have more dexterity

that you ever gonna have the other way.

i am left handed and i play double bass that way even if almost

everybody tell me to play right handed. i am glad i did so.

for shure it's more dificult to buy instruments.

  • @MrFatstraycat Yeah, that's what I figured. I'm fairly ambidextrous so it shouldn't be too difficult for me either. Thanks for the info, I'm planning on buying an upright soon.

  • @SirPsychoRHCP Better learn to play right handed. I'm also left handed and played lefty on the electric bass before. However, starting right handed on the double bass was not a big problem. And the big advantage: you can play every bass you happen to find (95% of all basses are right hand models).
