Since 1937, east Texas families have found a refuge for healing and hope in the caring hands of trusted Trinity Mother Frances providers. Our number one priority has been to provide exceptional, compassionate healthcare services to east Texans. Because you are more than just a patient... you're part of our family.
Over the years, we have grown into a nationally recognized leader in quality healthcare services. Our journey has been made with and for you... From the beginning, we have been here for your health, sharing your life's challenges, joys, losses and victories.
Our roots date back to the late 1800s when European noblewoman Frances Siedliska felt God's call to serve others and established the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. Since that time, the compassionate ministry of the Sisters has spread across the U.S. In 1937 the Order helped establish the first hospital in Tyler. Since that day, the Sisters have worked alongside our committed medical staff to meet the needs of men, women, and children throughout east Texas.
Since the beginning, Mother Frances Hospital has been devoted to the care of women, children and families.
Over the years that devotion led to our designation as a Children's Miracle Network hospital in 1987. In 1993, we created the FamilyCARE Center to provide medical services for underserved women and children, established the Ross Breast Center in 1997, and in 2008 opened the first Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Tyler to provide advanced medical care to infants born too early or with medical problems. Today, Trinity Mother Frances provides a full spectrum of primary and specialized care for women and children.
Since our founding, we've been here for the hearts of east Texans, leading the way in pioneering cardiac care. In 1966, Mother Frances Hospital developed one of the first ICU/Cardiac Care Units in the nation. In 1983 we developed the first cardiology program in the region.
In 2004, Trinity Mother Frances became the exclusive provider in the region of the state-of-the-art daVinci Robotic Surgical System, offering minimally invasive surgical options to heart patients.
And today, we're home to the area's first and only dedicated Heart Hospital. In 2010, Phase I of the Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital opened and 2012 will see the completion of Phase II, a freestanding multi-story innovative facility that will launch a new era of improved cardiac care and patient safety.
In 1937, our very first patients were victims of a dire emergency. Since that day, we have committed our resources and expertise to helping our neighbors in their most desperate hours. Whether you arrive by our ground Champion EMS service or air transport service Flight For Life, our Trinity Mother Frances Emergency and Trauma services are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The need for better, more convenient access to medical care led Mother Frances Hospital to merge with Trinity Clinic in 1995. Over time, we have expanded to become a six-hospital regional health system with 36 clinic locations serving over 1 million people in a 27-county area.
Today, Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics offers you more than just medical care -- we provide a medical home— a patient centered, coordinated approach to providing health care through primary care physicians, specialists, wellness and prevention, electronic medical records, and seamless access.
Our commitment to our patients' health includes providing outstanding specialists in key specialties, from gastroenterology and cardiology to orthopaedics and neurology, allowing people to get the care they need right here at home.
75 years ago we began a journey with our neighbors and friends to make lives better. That journey continues today, and even as we remember how far we've come, we are excited to look at where we can go... together.
One of the groundbreaking advancements we will implement this year is our new ConnectCARE electronic health record system.
For 75 years, we have remained committed to meeting the medical needs of east Texans. Over 1,000,000 patients visit us each year, making our family a large one. And it's that commitment to our extended family that has kept us focused on our mission and vision.
Thank you for letting us be there in your time of need for these past 75 years. We look forward to continuing to provide quality care for you and your family for generations to come. Happy birthday, Trinity Mother Frances!
