The economic downturn came late to San Francisco, but the West Coast city is now experiencing a slowdown in financial services, tourism, construction, and even the high tech sector. As VOA's Mike O'Sullivan reports, the city is braced for the downturn.

In your socialistic UK people live a much leaner existence. Small cars if they can afford to even own one at all. Small houses mostly gov. subsidized. Almost no RVs in the whole country. Lots of time off work but Holliday only once a year. Very few dinners out. Very few conveniences in the home. Cobbled shoes and darned socks. All very well and good but pretty slim living.

Let me explain!
I am an investor. I have traded stocks since BEFORE I had my first job.
I DMOR (Do My Own Research).
I look at the bags people are carring here in the UK to determine what people are buying and, roughtly, how much they're spending.
Do you see anyone in these videos carring shopping bags? Retail sales have died in the usa.
Not so here in the UK. LOL america died and big chunks of Europe live on.
