How the hell can anyone say that Hendrix sucks hes one of Billy's biggest influences, doing something no one has ever done is nothing new but to make it sound good and unique above anything else is difficult. Both Billy and Jimi have those qualities. It was Billy's father that told him not to sound like anyone else. So what if Hendrix was the first to do whatever, there was no one before Hendrix that did what he did and everyone else after him that copied him.

to be a good guitarist isn't about speed, it's so much more.... I don't see the point in listening to a guy playing as fast as he can up and down the frets and scales for like 15 minutes, that's not music for me but maybe for others... the best music for me is a solo or riff who fits in with the music so well that it gives me chills = ) can be both fast or/and slow, like the end of "hummer" or the solo in "soma"

@netbox01 Don't assume just because that it's stupid generic American thought process. We don't all think like that and for starters we're not the only country who has people that do think drugs help enhance the writing process for the musicians and the listening process for fans. To be honest anything that is only good when on drugs is utter crap in my opinion, music should be good sober or not. But seriously it really annoys me when people assume American's are all ignorant.

Some drug war in Colombia and drugs in the music industry are 2 totally different things. There are musicians who don't do drugs and still make good music too. DUHHH

Its so irrelevant for people to hate Hendrix or any other other artist just because they used drugs. All your favorite guitarists you've probably listened to must have used drugs. And so what drugs were used for inspiration to make music, I'm saying it was the way it was in the 1960s when it was accatable.
