Resident Evil 4 Matilda Only: Bulldozer Ride (5/5)

Best Handgun Competition I'm doing it for fun using the fully upgraded handguns (Handgun, Punisher, Blacktail, Matilda and Red 9). It's Bulldozer ride in Chapter 5-2 (NORMAL mode, Wii Edition).

If you are going through the game with Handgun only, you are suddenly stranded in Chapter 5 as you hardly get any supply of Handgun ammo. You'll be disappointed crates after crates with TMP, Shotgun, Magnum and Rifle bullets! Well, it's fair enough since they used to be scarce in earlier chapters...

So collecting enemy drops is vital now, thus I decided to combine 'fishing ammo' and 'survival'. Of course it's all about luck, so I just enjoyed playing with different guns and looked forward to the results.

The rule is the same - no herbs, Kick is only allowed if it's absolutely necessary, and you can only shoot foes once they get on the car. At the stop, use the switch and clear the path as quick as you can until the car gets going.

Matilda's 3 fire-burst speed again works in the close-circuit. I tried to be as conservative as possible when I fire, as you can't afford to blast away in case you won't get any supply. It came third for collecting ammo, though - if I knew, I would have been more trigger-happy!

Bulldozer Ride Result:

1. Blacktail (Bullets collected 155, Bullets remaining 219)
2. Red 9 (Bullets collected 125, Bullets remaining 261)
3. Matilda (Bullets collected 106, Bullets remaining 108)
4. Punisher (Bullets collected 85, Bullets remaining 133)
5. Handgun (Bullets collected 65, Bullets remaining 83)

The Matilda really isn't worth it. It isn't extremely powerful, and it eats up precious handgun bullets like they're nothing. It is like a worse version of the TMP. Sure, it's fun to have a near automatic handgun, but it isn't worth the cost in bullets.

Yes that's what I thought at the beginning... particularly when you don't need 3 bullets at once & it eats up precious ammo quickly!

But in Chapter 5 when the enemies wear armour & helmets, you'll need to pump ammo quickly and it started to shine (^^

I've never had that problem. 2-3 Red9 bullets to the chest was easily enough for any regular enemy. And if there weren't many enemies, I just knife them. To each his own though.

I was talking about the whole competition... Matilda wasn't doing very good at first, but it shined in Chapter 5.

The rule is, you must kill all enemies without using knife.

how do you get the other guns, i have completed it on easy normal and pro

and still no guns. is my game just fucked or something ?

Yeah, I was disapointed with the low ammount of handgun bullets in chapter 5. I've run out of ammo many times, plus killing regenerators was a hard task for saving ammo. Handgun only is pretty hard, no matter the handgun, all 'em have drawbacks, but still I think that they're the best weapons.

@ kuulutaja yeah i have it too and beat it. (almost said beateded) It is easy, but is crapy without the graphics enhancer mod and that sorta makes it lag.

the best handgun without upgrades is blacktail becuz its firepower is tide with red9 and the others are weker than them, but blacktail is faster than red9 so blacktail will be the fastest and strongest handgun if not upgraded, so that would be the strongest not upgraded handgun

Oh, I wasn't talking about the competition. I was just saying in general. For this part, handgun only, I suppose the Matilda is more than capable.
