  • Shame...Shame...Shame... on all you idiots who are involved with locking up these innocent animals. You make me sick

  • how would people like if an alien pick u up put u in a cage took you away from your friends and familey then put you on display to ramdon creatures in a small house(well a house is like humans natruale enviroment) with only one other human that you did'nt know and was from a differnt part of the world that did'nt speack your langue, your forced to eat what they give you and your locked away untill you die just for the entertainment of others

  • Zoos are bad. If they care about the animal they should setup a wild life reserve.

Breeding endangered animals (like Panda's) is also justified, there is no reason an Elephant or lion should be in a zoo. They are kept in a prison simply for human enjoyment to look at these animals, without going to their natural home in Africa instead.

  • I'm all for animal rights, but I do think zoos could be justifiable as an animal has a much higher probability of survival in a zoo then they do in the wild bt on the counter-attack argument, what is survival worth if its depressing and pointless?

I think if life in a Zoo is no longer depressing and pointless they can be justified, but this must follow strict rules:

    1. All species in a zoo must be native to the area

    2. They must have miles of free-space

    3. They must have the right to leave

  • @mrJimmydibson European and North American zoo's are most fine as other continents beside Asia, I agree. Asian zoo's have no goodness in them.

  • @MoonDragon1313 "Compromised Survivorship in ZooElephants" by Ros Clubb; published in Science magazine December 2008. This article gives clear evidence that elephants along with other large animal breeds have diminished life expectancy when they are not living in the free roaming grasslands where they belong.

  • we have a responsibility to protect other animals.. think about it

    they can't speak for themselves

  • @emotionaloverdose47

zoos are used to help breed endangered species. Zoos have to use flagship species like tigers and lions in order to generate interest in the zoo to help generate funds to help conserve these species. Conservation isn't free. It's either extinction or slow re-introduction from a zoo.

  • If you think zoos are conservationist you are fucking naive

  • @sam8110 For one thing zoos are in many ways more focussed on the preservation of a species than the individual animal, secondly research done zoos is highly important in conservation, thirdly many zoos are responsible for the conservation being done in wild habitats, including wild releases. Here's a fact for you- do you know what funds the conservation in South Africa? Hunting permits. Sick isn't it? Watch my video on conservation on my channel, conservation is far from black and white.
