2001 Mitsubishi Montero AC. I have had to replace the AC belt 6 times in the last 3 years. I think I am finally witnessing why.

It was the condenser fan. It cools the liquid/gas and lowers the pressures. The fan wasn't coming on or coming on late. Wired so it's always on when AC is on.

put gauges on it. seems the pressures are going through the roof because the fan isn't coming on when it should
fixed it, gummed up condenser.

How did you fix it did you replace the condenser? I have a Mini van doing the same it has high pressure and the clutch wont engage.
