when i was 5 or 6 the song we built this city was popular by jefferson starship I asked my mom to get me that record, instead she got me eric carmens greatest hits because i didn't explain the song good she thought it was this one. I never did get that jefferson starship record......but i've loved Eric Carmens songs ever since :) i am 32 now and my wife hates my music lol

Eric Carmen is a true American pop music icon. He writes the music, the lyrics, the arrangements; he plays piano and guitar, and sings. This man is so talented. I just wish he would play more live shows. He is also such a perfectionist.

Loved this song since I was about 12 when I first heard it. I am 16 now. One of my favourite songs of all time :)
