The Irish public itself is part of the problem. Apart from the roughly 40 per cent who didn't vote in the 2007 general election, how on earth did the public vote Ahern, Lowry, Flynn, etc back into the Dail, while they didn't vote for honest, honourable people like Higgins and others. How can an English MP and another English MEP be jailed and be about to be jailed for defrauding expenses of only Euro 8,000 approx when Dail members have defrauded 100,000's of Euro (Olwyn Enright - FG).
