In regarding custody, who is going to get custody is basically determined by who has been the primary caregiver of the child. In many cases with young children, generally, in many cases, is the mother, particularly with young children. However, many cases, it's not. It all is a fact-sensitive situation. Basically, the person that's the primary caregiver will be called the primary conservator, and that person will establish the residence of the child.
