I have to do audio compression using Daubechies 4 and I can't find anything for newbies. If you know any links please help me.

I didn't like the music, it makes it a bit ridiculous, to be honest with you. But the simulations are cute.

makes little sense to me --- too quick jumping between images without explaination

Very nice video! You may consider showing the original signal a few seconds longer before applying the wavelet analysis. Great Job!!!

(It appears that the signal itself is being transformed and then a CWT is being taken of the transformation. It may help to show the original signal paired with its CWT.
I came here because of a link on Wikipedia (which at the time of this posting has been removed). I could argue for its re-inclusion, but I personally think the video could be improved.

I'm just wondering... where did you get the equations DPWT, DTWT and DWT? can you give me the reference?

Alter the scaling parameter in matlab you have to some calculations if you want it to be orthogonal, the Shannon scaling function will never be orthogonal on matlab because it dose not have compact support in time
