I'm a classical guitarist with FD in the right hand. I really appreciate Billy's comments on the problem and the situation he found himself in. I re-learned to play a lot of pieces using a plectrum. If you care to see how I did this type in 'Bach, Keith Frazer' to have a listen. This isn't (just) shameless self publicity :) I think It might give other sufferers an idea or two.

I suffer from FD too. I play guitar, drums and piano and FD has totally changed the course of my life since 1995. When it first started affecting me I was in my mid-twenties, living in London and making a good living as a working musician. Then my left hand started 'locking up' and the index finger on my right hand started pointing forward. I now live in a small town in England, playing local gigs and I feel helpless with the FD after trying everything on offer (botox etc). Can anyone help me?
