I'm continuing my Greek mythology pieces. This one sort of sprang off the "Snakeville" instrumental. Medusa's tale is very interesting and tragic. Medusa is ravished in a tempel by Poseidon and then judged by goddess Athena who casts a spell on Medusa, changing her beautiful locks of hair into venomous crown of snakes, making her beautiful skin crack - and banishes Medusa off to a remote island and finishes the spell with the most devastating change of all - whoever gazes into Medusa's eyes turns to stone. Her lower body is also changed. Medusa is thrown from a life of innocence into a life of loneliness and no human contact, to live among the stony figurines in her garden. Drama with a big D.

I am planning on releasing all instrumentals themed by the Greek gods as an EP later on and putting them up for download. For now, however, enjoy them on my YT channel.

I love the things from which you draw inspiration Kimmo and it's never an accident, so it seems. All your pieces weave together, complex and beautiful. The footage you used on this is particularly striking and well..a little spooky too :-) I liked this one!

I don't really plan anything, so so in that sense I am an accidental writer. :) I just always happen to look into something, get intrigued by something and the ideas start to build from there. I found the footage of Medusa from a HBO docu. Just didn't use the original footage, shot it from screen for this. It's a bit spooky yes. Thanks again for stopping by!
