Saw some other videos and reviews about this stuff, so I gave it a shot. Also there's other info about my truck included. This is on a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 4.7 liter magnum engine with about 107k miles. Has true-dual flowmaster two chamber 40series mufflers with 2 pipes out front of the passenger side rear tire. Also has the Superchips cortex programmer tuned for 87 octane performance. Hayden 12'' electric fan with the Hayden radiator probe/switch. Also has a K&N filter with a chrome intake pipe. Also a set of cheap-o fog lights (which i did mount correctly with some screws lol)
For audio I have a Kenwood head unit with 2x Rockford Fosgate P1 12'' speakers in a hand built box powered by a 1200w Sony amp.
Future plans: If anyone ever makes a supercharger for the 4.7 ill buy that right up. But until then I plan on new cams and maybe some other small things. If the engine blows I plan on dropping in an old school crate hemi, super charged with a carburetor forget EFI haha

  • I have almost the same truck. What vacuum line did you run it through????

  • @Txman1996 Brake booster line, but any line that will feed all 8 cylinders is good.

  • where did you find your electric fan?

  • @MetalMulisha149 Local chop, advance auto for me but just about any advance, autozone, napa, o'reillys, etc will have electric fans and the stuff you need to do it up. Honestly I'm about to upgrade it to a dual fan system because when I do haul a load around these mountains the one fan cant quite keep up with the demands. Everyday driving tho is no problem, only when hauling or towing do I keep my eye on the engine temp.

  • did the chip give you better mpg?

  • @joeldude76 ... ran out of characters...

Gas Saver mode, Honestly I don't recommend it. The truck feels way low on power, less than stock even. I might get 1-2 more MPG but it's not worth it to me. It might be better on the interstate, but interstates are only like 20% of my driving.

  • Nice video. Very informative.

  • the computer chip doesnt save enough on mileage a turbo helps lol

  • there are alot of people that use seafoam every oil change me i use it ever couple oil changes ill use it right before i do a oil change so it cleans it up good and bad stuff leaked with the old oil ill put it in and 100-300 miles later ill change it

  • Just so you know all that filter is doing for you is sucking up hot engine air which causes reduced HP. You need to run it out of the engine bay or make a cold air baffle for it.

  • buy some headers! my pair are coming in Tuesday, hopefully i will have a vid up Thursday! btw i got the same motor but mines black quad cab.

  • The recommended method for the vacuum tube is a slow trickle in with the engine running. Dumping it in will cause the check engine light and possibly foul plugs.
