OFFICIALS v UNOFFICIALS

Mobile area Officials (elected, selected, appointed and/or otherwise) play Unofficials (local media reps from radio and the newspaper) playing a softball game to "settle the score," in the Spring of 1988. Rescued from the Reams' Video Tape Archives. Despite calls from numerous game participants to "put that thing down," glad I had my camera with me that day to preserve these memories. So who won? Seems I recall it was the media folks... though I could be wrong.

Participants and/or spectators included: John Irivin Sellers, Chip Drago, Eddie Menton, Renee Knoll, Dotty Armour, Michael P. Sloan, Wayne Gardner, Bill Dotson, Les Kerr, Kim Shugart, Phillip Ellis, Susan Nelson Pickard, Scott O'Brien Griffith, Gary Smith, the back of Ron Colquitt's head in my shot of Jef "J-J" Funk, Mobile City Councilman Reggie Copeland, former U-S Attorney and now U-S Senator Jeff Sessions, former Mobile Police Chief Billy Mingus, former Mobile County Commissioner Jim Mason, former Probate Judge Lionel "Red" Noonan, former Mobile County District Attorney Chris Galanos, former Mobile Police officer Ron Wilhelm, Scott Johnson, Angie Chandler, Jim Koblas, Herb Jordan, Wayne Dean, Adline Clark, play-by-play announcing provided by the late Jim Koblas, a barking german shepard police dog, Dial Walley, David Nihart and his beer stein, and numerous others whom shall remain nameless since I don't know them, or can't remember their names at the present time.
