"The Castle" Master System

This is a pretty cool and fun soloman's key kind of game. if you are into puzzle game then you'll probably like this one. Heck, even some parts of this game remind me of Gyromite

Love this game. Got a copy in Japan. Brought it home and found it wouldn't work on my Master System so I imported a Japanese Mark III. After many days I got to about 15 rooms left to complete. Got stuck in a room still with 5 lives left but had turn it off because I made a mistake. Still love this game. (note: You can reset a room after a mistake if you hold both buttons down for 5 seconds, but some mistakes can't be undone).

Both "The Castle" and 'Castle Excellent' are originally MSX games. MSX was a japanese computer which was pretty popular also in Europe and South America in the 80s.

I have no friggin idea how can someone play this on a console... both games are HUGE, they take many hours to be finished... playing them in one sitting without saving is SICK.

Haha, right you are, I think I could really enjoy this :)

For a while I was afraid that it was going to be "Dark Castle", that horrible port of a game that was released for the megadrive!

I only ever played the sequel for this, and I gotta say, this one actually looks a lot more fun! Im gonna have to be on the lookout for a mastersystem and a copy of this it seems ;) Thanks for showing me it!
