Song attributed to Alexander Means and music to William Walker. I recorded song and harmonies on my Macbook using Garageband application. Again just video shots of my back yard which is on the Oswego River, in up state NY. The smoke you see from the smoke stack is coming from our new Bio-fuels Refinery (use to be a Miller's Beer Brewery). Nothing like the smell of corn and ethanol to start your day!(only kidding; you can only smell it when you are right in front of the place). The ducklings are the surviving 5 out of 12 along with their mother. The cat adopted me about 4 years ago. The flowers are some of what are left on the last day of summer 2008. I am so looking forward to Fall. it is my favorite time of the year! Here in UpState NY, it is one of the most beautiful places to be to experience it! Peace!

  • Thanks Bob. I actually used the musical notation you speak about that was written for 3 vocal parts and I added a couple of others basically a major 4th above the melody and whatever else my ear heard or didn't hear.

  • A nice new take on one of my favorite hymns. In the early 1800s Singing Billy Walker apparently took songs like this and the "Resignation" version of the 23rd Psalm to the Appalachians and country churches with few if any instruments in Southern Harmony. Good job,Jim.

  • Thank you David!

  • Beautiful Jim! I love the fall too. You are rich of spirit.
