There is much good and truth in Christian religions. We accept truth from many sources such as this inspired music. It is a favorite of the Mormon Tabernacle.....and one of mine.

This hymn brings me such peace and happiness. Whenever I feel that there is a gap or an emptiness in my heart, I turn this on and my soul is satisfied and overflowing with His love. Thank you for posting this wonderful piece.

@throughJesusonly God told Joseph Smith that churches that purposely teach false doctrines are an abomination to Him.
And for the last time: our church's full name is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints. If we weren't Christian, why would we name our church after the Savior.
I'm a Mormon and I testify to you that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. I love Him very much and know that He lives. I am a follower of Christ. That is the definition of being Christian. :)

@THELDSLIFE Ok, if the song comes from a church which is an abomination to God, how can the song be good? I'll tell you how, The Christian churches are not an abomination to God, the gospel never needed to be restored. Christ's church has prevailed since the time of Christ and it's still prevailing today in the form of many different denominations. The Holy Spirit dwells in His believers and He has never left us nor forsaken us.

My single favorite hymn.
@THELDSLIFE- Ever done a history search on this song? Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing is a Christian hymn composed by the 18th century Methodist pastor and hymnist Robert Robinson. Why is the LDS church ok with using hymns from a Christian church, which God supposedly told Joseph Smith is an abomination to Him? Just curious of your thoughts on the subject...

We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
