Howdy again,and having watched the vid a few more times,I'm sure of it.Given the rail shut down in August.A manual switch means some one threw the switch too soon,bye bye job.

I have been advised that the Texas State Railroad is still in operation and better than ever before. It
is being operated by American Heritage Railways, the same company that runs
the Durango-Silverton and the Great Smokey Mountains trains. They are
doing a great job. They do not own it outright yet; but rather it is in
transition from the state to the private company, through the Texas State
Railroad Operating Authority.

I have heard that it is no longer in operation since Aug. 2007. Maybe someone close to the line can give more details here on You Tube.

Is this also the same local and same 2 engines that the last car rear trucks switched to the other track and thumped the steamer?Seen that on another post.

I saw that post also and it looks like the same local and two engines to me. I also understand that this railroad stopped operating in Aug. 2007. I wonder it the event you speak up on the other post may have had something to do with it.-
