  • @Aikisbest Most likely the Swedish names in here are from the time when Finalnd was a part of Sweden. Not that many Swedes live in FInland, cause in the past Sweden was a better place to live in. a lot of FInns moved to Sweden during the war, so that's probably why Pääjärvi has Finnish parents/grandparents or whatever.

  • @EliasJordan3 But in that case a finnish player with a swedish name could as well have a swedish father, right?

  • @Aikisbest Just saying that's why so many Finns have Swedish names. Doesn't necessarily mean they got Swedish parents. Just saying, no big deal it's almost the same country.

  • @EliasJordan3 And your point is?

  • @Aikisbest All Finns used to have Swedish names. Most have just translated them into Finnish after FInalnd wasn't a part of Sweden anymore.

  • @satania50 I think his pops or somebody is FInnish, cause Pääjärvi is a FInnish name. But whatever, just saying that Finland's team could use him, would've been 7-0 if he played for us lol.

  • @EliasJordan3 Finland has players with Swedish names too.

  • @DJMFilms1 thats not great.. Oilers sucks :(

  • Isn't Pääjärvi a defenseman? He's very skilled, must be cause his name is Finnish.
