When the Louisville Free Public Library held a contest to design computer programs, one child came out on top. Twelve year-old Marc Tasman won the contest, but as Caroline Seay reports, computers aren't his only interest.

Pff, that's nothing, I was writing usable programs when I was 7 on TRS-80, when I was 12 I was coding ASM for AMIGAs. Good to know there were others out there.

@AxelWiresmith, I had an old TRS-80, too. Recording programs and data on the old cassette tape recorder. Type SAVE, hit Enter on the keyboard, and press record and play on the cassette player, all at the same time.
