Sounds to me like Pink Floyd borrowed portions of this chord progression for "Echoes". Ron Morgan, super unsung early guitar hero - Check out 4:42 sounds a heck of a lot like Carlos Santana but it's Ron thru and thru! 1968! A year before Santana's first album hit the streets.
great song great album picked up album in 82 old hippie turned me on with this album and some windowpane he said this is america psychelic at it's best no doubt no doubt
@robertincolorado Thanks for the insight. I loved and listened to WCPAEB since 1967 and have all my original lps. Have many favorite songs, but this is on top.
Sure am glad here to see some current posts about my Bro' Ron Morgan; his work with the WCPAEB and his recordings. Yes, the audience was "dubbed" in from a live Beach Boys Concert to give the impression of a live recording. The song was practically done live however and on the fly in a short time. The song was written by Bob Yeazel; a Friend of Ron Morgan who also helped Bob with the chord arrangement while writing this song. Ron sings the lead, the only recording he has ever done so.
@theQueenofPsych From that psychedelic "Sunset Strip" era 1966 when LSD was not illegal. Led to the San Francisco "Haight Ashbury" 1967. The Grateful Dead lived in LA 1966 for "Acid Tests". Many bands - Doors, Love, Zappa, Captain Beefheart. A truly creative few years. Still have not recovered.

@neeeee5eeeee
It seems to be a false live backing. Not sure why they did that.
