This is a wonderful love song arranged by the late great Harry T. Burleigh (1866-1949) and words by Madge Marie Miller. Dr. Roy L. Belfield Jr. on piano. I really love this piece the words the music just gorgeous. A lot of people are unaware of Harry T. Burleigh's other work he is widely known for his arrangements of spirituals but he has other music!

  • Fantastic! I wish I knew more about music to give you noteworthy comments, however I thoroughly enjoyed your performance in this video and at the house! lol

  • @wikydansa Thank you Shar bear! You don't have to be a musician to speak from the heart. I am going to contact you soon. I have been so sleepy lately.

  • Thanks for sharing, Clayton :)

  • CLAYTON ~ I am concert singer and rarely hear a young voice with the clarity & warmth of yours. You are smart to "keep it thin" throughout your range, never "pushed" ~ Bravo. A baritone, correct? You might want to keep a little more of the UUU placement on your closing B-flat here and, if you are indeed a baritone, on all notes from B-flat and up. Please keep me up-to-date on your vocal career ~ ANDY

  • @andyrawn aaawww* Thank you so much Mr. Andy! I work really hard your words me so much to me because I can be so hard on myself. Anyway, I am in between a tenor and Baritone I can go either way right now i have my days as all singer's do. My teacher say's I am going through a voice change and I am only 21 so I know I have plenty of changes to come. I truly love this song so much I will sing it forever the text is just UGH! I thank you for your notes!

  • @terransage THANK YOU! I think everyone gets nervous! Right before I have to sing I can't remember a THING about my piece until I get on stage the it comes back. But before I am so lost and confused I am on the floor praying everything comes back to me! I am glad you are doing what you want to do now. Not many people have the courage to follow their dreams. Keep it up and I hope our paths cross soon. ;) p.s. guitar is so hard for me you rock just because you can play it! lol

  • Very good! Reminds me of when I used to play trombone recitals to piano accompaniment for city and state music festivals (a long time ago), except I was usually shaking in my boots, my mouth would get dry, and I'd forget half the notes. It got better when I started playing guitar and singing, 'cause I chose to do it. (Trombone was my dad's choice for me.)

  • @Albertmaximus1 Thank you!

  • Very tastful singing and perfect quality, beautiful color voice!
