Laurie Z. recorded this song in 1998. Until now, it was never titled or released. Newly mastered, and in loving memory of Steve Roush, it has been titled "Surfer Steve".
Steve Roush was a loving husand and father, brother and son, animal lover, noted landscape designer, owner of Kauai Seascapes Nursery in Hawaii and more. Surfing, boating and skin diving were some of his other passions.

About Laurie Z.
Laurie Z.'s music has been heard over the airwaves on hundreds of radio stations around the world. Described by music critics as "abslolutely amazing," her music is hard to define — it has most frequently been described as "new age jazz with classical technique." She gracefully mixed classical, modern jazz and contemporary instrumental styles.
Laurie began composing at the age of 16, and her skills were compared to those of Chopin. Laurie received a total of 15 Grammy nomination considerations. Her third CD, Roots, was considered for eight Grammy nominations. It showcased her musical roots with solo acoustical piano.
During the 80's, before going solo, Laurie recorded for Malcolm Cecil - inventor of the unique TONTO synthesizer - who had a company, EMPH Inc., "Electronic Music Publishing House." EMPH, Inc. released the very first MIDI recording and playback software (MIDIPLAY) for the now obsolete Atari 1040 computer. Laurie recorded MIDI versions of songs for that program which were sold as "Musidiscs." Only three Musidiscs were ever released - Beatles songs, Christmas music and some Grammy winning songs from 1986, and Laurie Z. recorded on all of them.
Laurie was happiest just pouring out notes on the keyboard, energetically and effortlessly. At the piano, she sang through her fingertips.
Heartfelt thanks go out to Bo Tomlyn for his invaluable assistance.
