I noticed something; Priest preach and people who are anti-religious preach as well. So why dont you "stop your silly nonsense"? Yes you're right about the sales figures. Many people know stores and manufacturers profit from this time. Old news. Some times having a good spirit and holiday cheer before winters bleak moments can balance each other. Try thinking of this time of the year as that and your "Christmas" wont seem so pointless. Light a candle instead complaining about the darkness.

if christmas is celebrating jesus's birthday why does everyone get presents?
besides the 25th of december has nothing to do with when jesus was born. its actually the date of the pegan feast. which is pretty ironic.
