The Indy Racing Experience Driving Program gives each customer the chance to learn what
it is like to drive a real IZOD IndyCar® Series car that has competed in the famed Indianapolis 500. They'll feel the rush of excitement as they follow a lead IZOD IndyCar® Series car around the track. Speeds are dependent upon each customer's comfort level in the car.
Currently, the Driving Program is only offered at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Walt Disney World® Speedway. At Indianapolis, thrill seekers take to the historic 2.5-mile Brickyard for 3 laps, while drivers at the Walt Disney World® Speedway cruise around the 1-mile track for 8 laps.
Each driver must be 18 years of age or older, under 6'5" in height, and under 250 lbs.

Race fans can take a 3-lap ride around the 1-mile tri-oval in our 2-seater piloted by an professional driver at a rate of $109/tax. Or they can get behind the wheel of an actual Indy car that participated in the Indianapolis 500 and take on the 8-lap driving experience for $399/tax.
We are open 350 days a year* and closed only on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. We are also closed for four days in mid-November when the PGA Tour hosts its annual event just outside the track.

And how about a quick explanation on the experience? (without having to search for it.. I know, I know, it's all in the marketing)
How many laps do you get, how much does it cost, what's the max speed on the car, how many on the course at a given time..etc?

I am so all over that. The only thing that would make it an even more "real" experience is if you had to fight your way through several cars on the track for position. Do they do actual mock races? Looks like every detail to safety is strictly followed too; just like the real deal. Nice video.
