@Trocken42 Oberservers exist "beyond time", meaning they don't age, so he had most likely never been a child, I think.

I have a theory why he wants to eat his flesh raw. Maybe he grew up as the boy from the episode "The inner child". There it was said, that the boy survived by eating rats. Of course he couldnt cook them. Maybe the Observer eats raw flesh because he is used to it from his childhood. There are some parallels between the boy from "inner Child" and the Observer. I think the Observer lived in his childhood in a room deep under earth and ate rats like the boy from "the inner Child".

is anyone else curious about the blue flash that occurs at time mark 3:24 and 3:32? i do not believe it to be a simple lense flair...

Good point, what the hell is that? Aint it just the torpedo thing though maybe ?
Cos if I remember rightly it flashes blue later on or something at the end
